School Age

Our before school program opens at 7:00 A.M. At that time, you need to bring in your child to the Big Bird room, which is the only room open at the time. Your child's backpack should be dropped off in the Mill 3 Clubroom first. At 7:30 a teacher brings the children into their own room until 8:00 A.M. when the Wee Play van takes them to their respective schools.

*Breakfast is not served.

Our after school program, for 6-11 year olds, uses the indoor playground and the Mill 3 Club rooms as well as the outdoor playground. A snack is given upon arrival from public school and all children need to play outside at least for a short period of time if weather permits. As the children come from a highly structured environment, we try to make their after school hours as relaxed and undemanding as possible. They are free to pursue an activity of their choosing, take part in outdoor or indoor play or simply relax and read.

Time to do homework is scheduled for 4:45 P.M. However, the children need to complete their schoolwork independently. They may ask the teacher for assistance.

The Mill 3 Club is open during school vacations for a limited number of children. We must be notified at least one week in advance, if you will need childcare during school vacations. A trip is usually planned on at least one day during the week. Bowling, miniature golf, visits to the science museum, woodworking and arts/crafts projects are other activities planned for vacation time.

Each child must bring in a State required health form and parents must sign a transportation agreement. Transportation is available from Webster, Weston, Smyth Rd., and St. Catherine schools.

Behavior problems, such as hitting, kicking, punching, sexually explicit language, swearing, teasing, indecent touching or being deliberately mean to another child or teacher is not tolerated. One warning will be given to the parents. If a second warning is needed, you will be asked to withdraw your child from the program. We want to make this program enjoyable for all the children. Behavior, such as mentioned above, would make it difficult for the rest of the children to enjoy themselves.

7:00 A.M. to 8:00 A.M. and 2:00 P.M. to 5:30 P.M. (6:00 under special arrangements)

There are several different rates to accommodate parent’s needs.
